Any frequency - from one reading a day to several a second.
Timezone aware - every reading is stored with its timezone, so timestamps stay correct across locations.

Run it at the edge - the inMotion Data Logger runs unattended on any small always-on machine, from a single-board computer (SBC) to an industrial gateway, forwarding readings from a fixed installation without a phone present.

Built-in activity types - Track (a moving path, such as a bike ride) and Site (a fixed location, such as a weather station).
Maps and imagery - store geo-tagged photos and map layers (Shapefile, GeoJSON, GeoTIFF) alongside your readings.
Multi-dimensional data - grids and other structures are supported, not only point readings.
Non-standard formats - data that does not fit a defined type can still be stored as-is.

You control access - only account owners and administrators can grant others access.
Encrypted in transit - data is protected in transfer to and from inMotion.
Signed requests - every request is digitally signed, so altered data is detected.
No tracking or resale - inMotion does not use third-party analytics or share your data, and complies with regulations such as GDPR.

inMotion Studio is the web app where you view, review and organise everything - no separate application to install.

Any screen - the web application adapts to phone, tablet and desktop.
Live view - an activity updates on the map in near real-time as it is recorded, and can be viewed by others.
Folios - organise activities into a structured, nested document to build a report or case file, rather than sharing a flat list.

Add your own areas and routes to the map, alongside recorded activities.

Draw or import - sketch a shape directly on the map, or import an existing GeoJSON, GPX, KML, CSV or Shapefile.
Classify and tag - group overlays by classification or nature (for example, a paddock boundary or an exclusion zone) so related shapes are easy to find.
Custom columns - attach your own per-feature values, such as a crop type or spray rate.

Beyond the built-in catalog, your account can define its own vocabulary for the data it collects.

Standard Data Types - define a new kind of value, with its own units, valid range and display behaviour, for a sensor the built-in catalog does not cover.
Device Configs - describe how a custom sensor or piece of machinery reports its data, including which activity types it applies to.
Activity Types - on eligible plans, define your own activity type alongside the built-in catalog.
Classification Models - built-in models automatically categorise or quality-control activity data.

Share data with other inMotion users, or with people who do not have an account.

Invite collaborators - give existing inMotion users permission to view or contribute to your data.
Set an access level - owner, administrator, contributor or view-only.
Share a link - send a read-only link to an activity to anyone, with or without an inMotion account.
